Pardes by Jyll Bradley (b.1966, Folkstone) was the first stand-alone commission for our new Warehouse providing a warm, welcoming canopy of green light through the winter months of 2021–22. Opening the Air, made to celebrate the opening of Pardes, shares in its material vocabulary of wood and live-edged Perspex and its abstracted relationship to the natural world: the design laser etched into Opening the Air is taken from a drawing Bradley made of an ancient glasshouse.
